Dr. L. Ramachandran is the Founder and Managing Director of Tharansia Pvt. Ltd., one of Chennai’s most respected advertising, signage, multimedia and structural branding companies. With over two decades of experience spanning creative design, photography, advertising, film promotion and large-scale structural fabrication, he has built Tharansia from a small digital design studio into a full-service production powerhouse.
His journey began with a deep passion for visual communication and the arts. Starting in digital product design, Dr. Ramachandran gradually expanded his vision to encompass the entire spectrum of brand visibility — from the creative concept on a desk to a fully illuminated facade on a city street. Under his leadership, Tharansia now serves over 21 of India’s most recognised retail, healthcare and F&B brands.
Beyond business, Dr. Ramachandran is a practicing photographer and visual artist whose personal work has been exhibited and recognised at national level. His artistic eye directly informs the way Tharansia approaches every client project — treating signage and branding not as manufacturing tasks but as visual storytelling.
In 2015, his team received the Best Residential Interior Designer Award. He also led Tharansia’s sponsorship of a Guinness World Record event in the art category — a milestone that reflects the company’s roots in creative culture rather than pure commerce.
